A mama blessing is a prebirth celebration focusing on mama. It nurtures her connection to family and friends, empowers her and leaves her feeling totally supported and nourished. It can be seen as an alternative to

a baby shower.

This beautiful celebration allows the women in her life to gather around her, to surround her with love, support and strength. As I guide the ceremony and lead the activities mama will relax and feel nurtured by the ones she loves and holds dear.

I will hold space for her loved ones to offer and share words of wisdom, advice and knowledge with her on this incredible journey.

Those gathered will help to empower her and remind her of her strength. We will send her positive thoughts and can create personal affirmations. The time will be filled with joy and laughter and will be unique and shaped around mama, from playlist to activities. Together we can create a nurturing space, be connected and have some fun during this amazing transition.

This celebration is all about the mama to be, and can include -​

• a sacred trust walk 

• collective creation of a birth bead talisman. This can be used in birth to focus mama and remind her of the love that surrounds her

• fun games

• sharing of stories 

• intentional affirmation creating including ceremonial candle lighting 

• tea and cake

• making of flower crowns

• joint creation of a tree of support
